SUMMER SEO CONTEST II: now, Europe’s best SEO.

Because of the success of the first edition of the search engine ranking contest, we decided to give our support to the SEO community once again. And this year, we go beyond Spain. This year, we’re also looking for the best SEO in seven other european countries in Europe’s most international SEO contest.

From Benidorm, presenting EUROPE’S BEST SEO Contest. The EUROPE’S BEST SEO Contest is an initiative of the Hoteles Magic Costa Blanca group in Benidorm.

The Magic Costa Blanca group wishes to celebrate the arrival of summer by creating an ambitious contest that celebrates the town of Benidorm which is a true mixture of cultures.

The goal is to make SEO widespread and to make Internet ranking more popular in Europe. Feel like joining in? What’s most important is to have fun, to learn and to enjoy the summer participating in this challenge. We dare you! These are the conditions:

CONDITIONS

  • The contest is open for anyone who wishes to join in and can show that he/she is born in or has the nationality of one of these countries: Spain, Italy, France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. No registering needed. Participating is completely free. The nationality of the winner will have to be proven by a valid identity card or passport when picking up the prize.
  • There will be three winners in each country and a winner for Europe, which will receive the prize for EUROPE’S BEST SEO.
  • The contest keyword will be announced the 19th of June 2008 on this site. The hour chosen for publicating the keyword is 12:00 in Benidorm (11:00 in United Kingdom and Ireland). For now, Google shows no results for this keyword.
  • The winners of each country will be those who obtain the three first results in the Google version for that country. The search parameters will be as follows:
  • The best SEO for Europe will be whoever obtains the best result in Switzerland, because it has always been considered to be a neutral county. (http://www.google.ch/search?hl=en&q=eurodipity). The contest will end the 5th of September at 12:00 hours in Benidorm (GMT +2).
  • The participants may use the language of their choice for the contest. Nevertheless, we have chosen to set the search language parameter to be english. This way, all the participants have the same chances at winning the prize for Europe’s best SEO.
  • The winners will be verified in contribution with collaborating touristic offices in the capital of each country. This will be the decision of the jury and cannot be appealed.
  • Participants can enter as many sites as they wish or need.
  • The contest will take place between the 12th of June and the 5th of September 2008. On the 5th of September at 12:00 (11:00 in United Kingdom and Ireland) the winner will be assigned.
  • It’s important to know that SPAM may cause to be disqualified. What do we mean by SPAM? Automatic content, pages with no other content than the keyword repeated over and over again, … Let’s not disturb anyone.
  • If a site is to be considered SPAM, it will not be taken into account at the moment of determining the winners.
  • The content of the sites should concern tourism in la Comunitat Valenciana and the Costa Blanca, Benidorm, Gandía, the Hoteles Magic Costa Blanca company, their new hotels (Villa Venecia y Villa del Mar) and SEO. The objective is to limit useless content or pure spam by specifying the website subject. The topics are common enough not to be a significant restriction.
  • The participants should show their abilities while being respectful and show ethical commitment to others. Those who do not, can be disqualified.
  • This contest is not related to any search engine, and will not accept any responsability forthcoming from actions taken by contestants participating in this contest.
  • The decision of the jury will be final and inappealable. The prizes are indivisible.
  • Nobody from within the organization will participate in the contest.
  • The organization reserves the rights to take necessary decisions in order to protect the spirit of the contest and to choose the winner.
  • Participating in this contest equals accepting and fulfilling these conditions.

Prizes for the best SEOs in each country:

1. First in each country: Week stay for two in hotel Villa Venecia de Benidorm. The week may be chosen by the winner.
2. Second in each country: Week stay for two in hotel Villa del Mar de Benidorm. The week may be chosen by the winner.
3. Third in each country: Week sty for two in hotel Rock Gardens de Benidorm. The week may be chosen by the winner.

Villa Venecia and Villa del Mar are two of the best touristic establishments in the town of Benidorm and are both situated at the beaches of Benidorm.

Prizes for the best SEO in Europe:

A MacBook AIR with Flash memory (or similar new product that is available on the introduction of new Apple products on the 9th of June) worth approximately 3.000 €. The MacBook will be engraved with an inscription to remind you of your victory in the Europe’s best SEO contest.

On top of that, Europe’s best SEO will also win an all-in holiday week in Benidorm for two, in hotel Villa Venecia. The exact dates may be chosen by the winner.

II Edición del Concurso de Posicionamiento del Verano

SUMMER SEO CONTEST II: now, Europe’s best SEO.

Tras el éxito de la primera edición del concurso de posicionamiento en buscadores, este año queremos volver a apoyar a la comunidad SEO no sólo de España, sino que también buscamos al mejor SEO en 8 países Europeos en el concurso SEO más internacional de Europa.

Desde Benidorm, Premios EUROPE’S BEST SEO Contest. Una iniciativa de la cadena de Hoteles Magic Costa Blanca, en Benidorm.

La cadena Magic Costa Blanca quiere celebrar la llegada del verano preparando un certamen más ambicioso que rinda su especial homenaje a Benidorm, un auténtico crisol de culturas.

El objetivo es ayudar a difundir el SEO entre el gran público, y apoyar el posicionamiento de Internet de toda Europa. ¿Te apetece participar? Lo importante es divertirse, aprender y disfrutar este verano con este reto. ¿Te atreves? Estas son las bases:

BASES

  • Está abierto a cualquiera que desee participar y que pueda acreditar que haya nacido o disponga de la nacionalidad de España, Italia, Francia, Reino Unido, Irlanda, Alemania, Holanda y Bélgica. No es necesaria ninguna inscripción. La participación es totalmente gratuita. La nacionalidad sólo tendrá que ser acreditada por lo ganadores a la hora de recoger los premios presentando el DNI o pasaporte.
  • Habrá tres ganadores por país y un ganador Europeo, que recibirá el premio de MEJOR SEO DE EUROPA.
  • La palabra clave del concurso será anunciada el próximo día 19 de Junio en esta web. La hora escogida serán las 12:00 horas de Benidorm (11:00 horas en Reino Unido e Irlanda). Actualmente no hay ningún resultado en Google por esa palabra.
  • Los ganadores de cada país, serán los que obtengan los tres primeros resultados en Google, en la versión de cada país. Los parámetros de búsqueda serán:
  • El mejor SEO de Europa será el que mejor resultado obtenga en Google Suiza, ya que siempre se ha caracterizado por ser un estado neutral (http://www.google.ch/search?hl=en&q=eurodipity). El plazo concluye el día 5 de Septiembre a las 12:00 hora de Benidorm (GMT +2).
  • Los concursantes pueden utilizar el idioma que quieran para el concurso, no obstante, hemos escogido el parámetro de búsqueda del idioma en inglés para que todos tengan las mismas oportunidades a la hora de llevarse el premio del mejor SEO de Europa.
  • Los ganadores del concurso se comprobarán en colaboración con las oficinas de turismo colaboradoras ubicadas en la capital de cada país, siendo la decisión del jurado inapelable.
  • Puedes participar con tantas webs como necesites.
  • El concurso se desarrollará entre los días 12 de Junio y 5 de Septiembre del 2008. La fecha por tanto donde se designará al ganador es el 5 de septiembre, a las 12:00 horas de Benidorm (11:00 horas en el Reino Unido e Irlanda).
  • No obstante es importante recalcar que el SPAM será motivo de descalificación. ¿Qué definimos por SPAM? Contenidos automáticos, páginas sin más contenido que texto repetido con la palabra clave del concurso… No queremos que se moleste a nadie.
  • El site que esté considerado como SPAM no será tenido en cuenta en el ránking de Google a la hora de determinar los ganadores.
  • El contenido de las webs deben tratar sobre turismo en la Comunitat Valenciana y la Costa Blanca, Benidorm, Gandía, la cadena de Hoteles Magic Costa Blanca, sus nuevos hoteles (Villa Venecia y Villa del Mar) y SEO. El objetivo es limitar los contenidos poco útiles o puramente spam al especificar la temática, que en todo caso es lo bastante amplia para no ser una limitación significativa.
  • Los participantes deberán mostrar sus verdaderas habilidades, pero también su compromiso ético y respetuoso con los demás. De lo contrario, pueden ser descalificados.
  • Este concurso no tiene relación con ningún buscador, y no aceptará ninguna responsabilidad derivada de las acciones de posicionamiento relacionadas ni realizadas con sus participantes.
  • El fallo será inapelable. Y el premio indivisible.
  • Ninguna persona de la organización participará en el concurso.
  • La organización se reserva el derecho a tomar las decisiones necesarias para proteger el espíritu del concurso y a decidir el ganador.
  • La participación en este concurso significa la aceptación y cumplimiento de estas bases.

Premios a los mejores SEO de cada país:

  1. Primero de cada país: Semana de vacaciones para 2 personas en estancia en el Villa Venecia de Benidorm. La semana podrá ser escogida por el ganador.
  2. Segundo de cada país: Semana de vacaciones para 2 personas en estancia en el Villa del Mar de Benidorm. La semana podrá ser escogida por el ganador.
  3. Semana de vacaciones para 2 personas en estancia en el Rock Gardens de Benidorm. La semana podrá ser escogida por el ganador.

Villa Venecia y Villa del Mar son dos de los mejores establecimientos turísticos de la ciudad de Benidorm y por supuesto están ubicados en primera línea de playa.

Premios para el mejor SEO de Europa:

Un MacBook AIR con memoria Flash (o novedad similar que se presente el 9 de Junio en la presentación de nuevos productos que va a hacer Apple): valorado en 3.000 € aprox. Estará grabado con una inscripción que acredita al ganador como el mejor SEO de Europa.

Además, una semana de escapada a Benidorm para dos personas en las fechas a elegir por el ganador, en el Villa Venecia. Régimen todo incluido.
